For a book I wouldn't have chosen myself, this turned out to be a really enjoyable read! The characters were well thought out and you were able to journey with them as the book went on, you really came to feel for them and care about what happened to them, particularly the main character. The descriptions of the scenery and locations were wonderful, and drew you right in to the book. One of the things I enjoyed most was the fact this book was set over a period of decades, and how it incorperated that historic events that cropped up in this timescale, World Cups, Wimbledon, and the more harsh events such as wars. The subject of a girl born in the wrong body was always sensitively handled, the struggles and the acceptance portrayed well. A book I would definitely recommend.
