One of a number of similar books I've read recently but I want to try and judge it on it's own merit. The book follows Freddie as he recounts his time spent in France, where he goes to escape the demons haunting him since his brother's death. The descriptions are beautiful and the characters interesting, and there's a lot of historical content which really adds to the atmosphere. Overall it was an enjoyable story, but could probably have done with being a bit longer as the ending seemed a little rushed.
