I'd read one of Booth's other books in this series, so it was nice to go back and read the first one and see where it all began. I really enjoyed it. The characters are great, and the plot was really well executed, and I had no idea where it was going which I really liked. The only thing that let it down for me was the dialogue which sometimes felt a bit clunky, but otherwise a great crime novel.
